Tim's background in the I.T. industry spans nearly twenty years. Beginning as an IBM mainframe systems programmer, specialising in Transaction Processing systems and large network communications,Tim worked for Databank Systems in Wellington, New Zealand. Tim was an integral part of a small team responsible for maintaining the transaction processing systems which ran the banking network for the four largest trading banks, including the Bank of New Zealand, ANZ, Westpac and the National Bank of New Zealand. In 1990 Tim moved to Distributed Data Processing in Wellington, and a year later transferred to DDP's Melbourne headquarters.

In the early 1990's, DDP was at the forefront of the PC networking revolution as well as the leader in PC to mainframe integration. In his role as a Senior Systems Engineer, Tim consulted to many of Australia's largest organisations in areas such as Token Ring (and later Ethernet) network design as well as network security. The breadth of DDP's product set equipped Tim with the technical skills needed to service Max.I.T.'s clients when it came time to branch out on his own.

Since starting Max.I.T., Tim has provided a range of services to organisations both large and small. These services have included consulting, software development, and technical support. Tim is well regarded within the industry for his systems architecture and design experience, as well as for his problem diagnosis skills.

Nirav Patel

Senior Associate
Software Engineering

Nirav has been with Max. I.T. since 2004 and as the Senior Developer brings with him a wealth of experience in Web Development, Software Applications Development and Applications Programming.

He is qualified as a Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Science at Victoria University (2001-2003), as well as having attended the Australian IT Careers Institute for Dimploma of IT (Software Development). He is also qualified as a Dimploma of Mechanical Engineer at the Dr. S. & S.S. Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Surat.

Nirav’s exceptional technical skills and experience combined with his enthusiasm, thoroughness and customer service orientation make him a valued member of the Max. I.T. team.

His interests include IT Project management, New technology, Software, Leading Edge Hardware, Security Investment, Business Development, Wooden work, Sports., Driving Trips and the Environment.

Matt Cann

Matt has worked in the IT industry for more than eight years with a strong focus on network and server systems. Having developed the key technical skills of systems administration and problem resolution within a large agent of the federal government, Matt moved through several consulting roles were he gained an understanding of the needs of small business clients. Matt's consulting experience has provided him with business analysis skills and the knowledge needed to match technology to client's needs.

Matt joined Max. I.T. early in 2010 and has responsibilty for the day-to-day operations of our technical services team.

Mark Lawrence

Senior Associate
Technical Services

Mark Joined Max.I.T. in 2009 and brings a wealth of experience in both software development and technical support.

Mark’s hobbies include computers, games, reading, Japanese animation and going for long walks. 

Mark joined the Mobiltronics Group in 1986 as a software developer to implement an interface with the latest generation Technophone. For the past 20 years he has been providing technical services to the ASI Group in software development and hardware integration within the aviation industry. These services included projects involving aircraft radio and satellite communications messaging systems, in-flight entertainment systems and cabin passenger internet.

Mark has also worked on a variety of ground based projects including radio-frequency identification logistics systems and industrial control applications, web-site design, IT administration and a variety of general technical support services.

Alex Adamopoulos

Associate
Technical Services

As the youngest member of the Max. I.T. team, Alex brings an enthusiastic attitude and a love of all things IT.

Alex has been with Max. I.T. since July 2008, and has recently completed his Certificate III in Information Technology. Having completed his Certificate III, he is planning to study for the MCTS test.

Alex has previously worked in the travel industry as a Hardware Technician and Website Data Manager for an online travel agency.

His hobbies and interests include Computers, Games, Sports and AFL football.

James Kenny

Business Services Manager

James has extensive experience in customer relations, sales and administration in the IT industry, having worked as Panda Security’s Australian Channel Manager, AVG’s Australian Reseller Operations Manager and Distributed Data Processing’s Inventory and Purchasing Manager over a long period of time. In the 1970’s and 80’s he spent more than a decade in The Australian Customs Service, working mainly in commercial investigation. His experiences have enabled him to establish strong working relationships both nationally and internationally.

James began as the Business Services Manager at Max. I.T. at the end of 2008 and is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. His focus is to build the Max. I.T. client base and forge strong relationships with our clients.

James interests include sport, current affairs and his family.
